Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Has Died in a California Traffic Collision
Vince Zampella, the mind behind the immensely successful first-person shooter Call of Duty, has died in a traffic collision in California at the age of 55.
His passing was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the video game company which he helped establish.
The celebrated video game developer passed away following his vehicle was involved in a crash and burst into flames on a highway in Los Angeles on Sunday, as reported by.
"This is a devastating loss, and we stand with Vince's family, those closest to him, and all those touched by his work," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts said.
