Netflix Casts Ideal Actor for Mr. 2 in the Hit Series Third Season
Baroque Works is poised to play a huge role in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, though the true confrontation won’t take place until the third season, and a cherished, audience-beloved member has recently been selected.
The streaming service revealed Tuesday that the talented performer has joined the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will embody Mr. 2. Bon Clay can use their power to change into an identical duplicate of anyone they’ve laid a hand on with their right hand. The actor, who is identifies as non-binary and goes by they/them, will depict a version of that character re-envisioned as non-binary identifying, rather than as a drag performer, in the real-life adaptation, differing from the source material and anime.
This performer joins a number of recently announced actors set to bring the group to life, including leader the main antagonist, portrayed by Joe Manganiello, Sophia Anne Caruso as another operative, and an accomplished actor, who is also part of the cast as King Nefertari Cobra of Alabasta.
Even though Bon Clay is a major member of the organization, the individual won’t make their debut One Piece the upcoming installment. Considering season 2 set to cover the Little Garden arc, this represents a significant shift in the timing of their first appearance, one that could signal further changes to the narrative framework.
