Iran is willing to reinitiate nuclear talks with Washington provided that it is approached with "respect" and "honor", Iran's foreign minister has declared.

The Iranian diplomat stated solely negotiations was effective, and revealed new appeals had originated from intermediaries to resume talks with the American leadership. He claimed Iran did not have undeclared nuclear sites, and Tehran was not yet able to authorize the UN nuclear inspectorate to inspect attacked atomic facilities for safety concerns.

Navigating a Complex Course

The foreign minister is walking a complex path since Iran wishes not to be seen to be proceeding from a situation of vulnerability, and he emphatically stated that Iran had come out more resilient defensively and mentally from the coordinated strike on its enrichment centers in June.

He was speaking at a defense forum in Tehran where he reiterated that Iran had "an inalienable right to process nuclear material on home soil that it will perpetually retain" – the primary cause of the stalemate in the earlier negotiations.

Previous Negotiations Unexpectedly Concluded

The previous five rounds of talks between the United States and Iran were concluded unexpectedly and bitter termination on 12 June when the Israeli government, with Washington's assistance, targeted Iran's enrichment centers in a fortnight-long engagement that concluded with the American leader claiming the facilities had been destroyed. Following this, Western states exercised their right to restore UN-wide sanctions, but Iran maintains they have not had a substantial consequence.

Ideal Resolution Proposed

Tehran representatives stated they felt they had reached a "perfect agreement" to the enrichment issue in earlier negotiations, when it was settled an Iran-based consortium with US participation could process nuclear material. Both sides would have been able to claim victory since domestic enrichment would have persisted and the US could be confident that Iran's atomic project was entirely non-military.

It had not been agreed in the negotiations that Washington's technical specialists could operate inside Iran, but that was a reasonable assumption of the cooperative offer. Representatives claimed three times they had secured an understanding with Washington's diplomat the US official only for the deal to fall apart due to "detractors in America".

Present Situation

In what is described by Iranian officials as the struggle of restoration and recovery, Araghchi claimed he was assured Iran's defence capabilities "have significantly improved than preceding 13 or 14 June of this year. Every aspect of our defense have been rebuilt. We acquired multiple understandings from this conflict; we have come to know our internal vulnerabilities and the weaknesses of the opponent."

He stated: "We managed to survive this conflict. Our nuclear technology, which they planned to destroy, continues to exist. The facilities and equipment, if damaged, will be reconstructed; what is important is the resolve of the Iranian people and then the social solidarity that they sought to undermine, but did not succeed to destroy. The nation of Iran have developed more powerful, more cohesive, and more endorsing of the administration and the state in the wake of this invasion."
