Former BBC Specialists Participate in MPs' Questioning Following Claims of Partiality in Disclosed Memorandum
We start with questions from Conservative MP Caroline Dinenage, that oversees the panel.
She opens by providing context to the unauthorized document prepared by Michael Prescott and released in the Telegraph.
"I do not desire the British Broadcasting Corporation tilting this way or that way, My only wish is for it balanced, unbiased and equitable," he says.
Upon being questioned whether he considers the British Broadcasting Corporation is systematically partial, the adviser responds: "No I don't. It is important to note, numerous aspects the British Broadcasting Corporation creates is top-tier - including documentary and non-factual content."
But he adds: "There is real work that must be undertaken at the British Broadcasting Corporation."
Another previous consultant British Broadcasting Corporation consultant questioned by the panel, Caroline Daniel, remarks she regards the BBC extremely earnestly and that it has a "continuous process and vigorous discourse" on fluid and multifaceted issues.
"Was the BBC willing to conduct a thorough conversation and debate and take action?" she asks herself. "As I see it, yes they were."
